on studying with EMDI

Being an event planner is about organizing yourself and others, building strong relationships, and thinking about how your guests will experience their time at the event. This was just the beginning of a course that focused on the process that involves studying the intricacies of the brand, identifying the target audience, devising the event concept, planning the logistics and coordinating the technical aspects before actually launching the event. A year at EMDI has taught me all this and much more. It has taught me that knowledge alone is not enough in the event industry. In order to stand out and make a mark in the market you don’t only need to motivate yourself continuously, but your colleagues as well. From my very first event, which was a concert, I was taught the ability to coordinate not only myself, but the scheduling of the entire team helping with the event. From Corporate Conferences to Award Ceremonies every event has increased my experience in flexibility, organization, communication skills, and resourcefulness. At EMDI I found my passion in Events, without passion I could not have overcome the bumps and triumph when all seemed lost. But then again it wouldn’t have been possible by the opportunity provided by EMDI to work on live events under the supervision and training of industry experts and extremely helpful faculty, who never let our enthusiasm and passion die. After all enthusiasm and passion brings about creativity and generates excellent results.
